Calm & Punk Gallery

Established in 2006 in Nishi-Azabu, Tokyo, Calm & Punk plans and organizes a variety of exhibitions from up-and-coming to established artists from Japan and abroad.

The gallery is run by Gas As Interface, the publisher of the Gasbook series, which was born in the 1990s when the relationship between fine art, fashion, graphic design, and youth culture began to slowly approach its current state. Gas As Interface continues to exist as a bridge between the vertical axis, which deals with a wide variety of expression methods such as painting, sculpture, collage, and digital art, and the horizontal axis, which travels between contemporary art and various cultures. The gallery's activities contribute to this aim.
