Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature

The Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature is located on a hill overlooking Yokohama Bay Bridge in Harbor View Park. The museum collects and preserves manuscripts, letters, and other valuable materials of literary figures associated with Kanagawa Prefecture, and holds literary exhibitions to introduce writers and their works.

In addition to the permanent exhibition introducing literature of Kanagawa, the museum holds individual exhibitions of great writers associated with Kanagawa such as Soseki Natsume, Ryunosuke Akutagawa, Junichiro Tanizaki, and Yasunari Kawabata, as well as thematic exhibitions of poetry, haiku, children's literature, popular literature, etc. Lectures, reading sessions, and other events related to the exhibitions are also held.
