Ginza Nikon Salon (Nikon Plaza)

The Nikon Salon is a photo exhibition space that was established in January 1968 at Ginza Sanchome to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Nikon's founding, with the aim of promoting and enhancing photography culture. Since our first exhibition ‘The Eye of Ihei Kimura’ we have provided many photographers and enthusiasts a place for photographic activities including lectures. The Shinjuku Nikon Salon was opened in June 1971, and the Osaka Nikon Salon was opened in March 1974. Since July 2017, we have had two locations in Ginza and Osaka. From October 2020, the Nikon Salon will be combined into one location in Shinjuku to provide photographers with a place to present their work, playing a role as a base for supporting photographic cultural activities.
