Sakura City Museum of Art

The museum is located in the center of Sakura, a burg that flourished in the Edo era under the Hotta clan, which actively encouraged artistic activity, and is surrounded by numerous historic sites. The main building exhibits works by artists related to Sakura, whereas other exhibition spaces are used to present works by both Japanese and non-Japanese artists as well as works by current Sakura citizens.
