Since its establishment in September of 1999, Site Aoyama has been exhibiting work from a wide range of creatives including art university students and professional and amateur artists alike. At the time of its opening, the gallery exhibited the environmentally themed work of Friedensreich Hundertwasser for the first time in Japan. Located on the first floor of a residential house, Site Aoyama provides a different atmosphere from a gallery located in a building.
