Ghibli Museum, Mitaka

Ghibli Museum is not your usual museum. The permanent exhibition space ‘Where Movies are Born’ is made up of 5 small rooms. It is almost as if someone was just in the room drawing. The rooms are full of books and trinkets and the walls are completely covered in illustrations and sketches. Model planes and even pteranodon hang from the ceiling. The room is full of its occupant’s favorite things. With half-finished drawings and pencils all over the desk, it’s as if someone is about to make a movie.
