Space Wunderkammer

A non-profit artist-run space newly opened in April 2014 in Nerima, Tokyo. Space Wunderkammer offers young artists, at various stages in their careers, the opportunity to try out new experimental exhibitions and events set within the quaint atmosphere of a sixty year old house. In addition to the exhibition space, there is also a collection room referred to as the “Wunderkammer (Cabinet of Curiosities)” where various goods collected from around the world are on permanent display along with books and small works of contemporary artists, as well as an additional cozy space to have tea. All of this comes together to form a place where artists and art lovers get together and interact.
