Musee Ginza_Kawasaki Band Design

This art gallery is located inside the only European-style building on Tokyo Ginza's Showa Street, a structure erected 80 years ago. Plans for a new skyscraper were scrapped after local residents voiced affection for the building, which is now being conserved as a relic of history. White walls act in concert with the traditional Japanese cedar wood roof in this three-story space that can show the work of up to four groups of artists at any one time. You are invited to explore the building's historic roots while helping to articulate the next generation of art.
