Art & River Bank

Art & River Bank is an alternative space for art that was established in February 2002 in a 50-year-old building complex overlooking the Tama River. In addition to critics, artists, curators, and students, we have sought to create a new form of exhibition, project, discussion, and thinking space. Since its establishment, we have conducted nearly 200 projects, including exhibitions of domestic and international artists, portfolio archive events, symposiums, talk events, and video screenings.
As social conditions are constantly changing, the environment surrounding art is also changing and becoming more diverse. Art & River Bank hopes to act as a platform that is open to people from all walks of life, without being bound by conventional frameworks, while keeping in mind its original philosophy. We hope to be a platform that is open to people from all walks of life.
