The Terracotta Army is believed to have been created to protect the first Emperor of china, Quin Shi Huangdi, in the afterlife. They are estimated to have been 6000-7000 in number. This is the third large-scale exhibition of the Terracotta Army in Tokyo, following those in 1983 and 1994. (open until 8PM on Friday, closes at 5PM on Dec.31)
