Shugoarts will host a slide talk show entitled "Starry Paint: Star of Outer Space by Pure Painting" by the artist Masato Kobayashi on his recent works.
From October 2004, Kobayashi spent three weeks at Sweden's Tensta Konsthall for a public production, followed by an exhibition of paintings from November 2004 to the end of January 2005. During an upcoming return to Japan, Kobayashi will discuss his show "Starry Paint" and the production process of the exhibited works, with the aid of video footage and close to 100 photographs. In his last solo exhibition at Shugoarts in September 2004, the artist presented a collection of striking nude paintings; in the latest show at the Konsthall, he has realized his "starry paint" with an installation of a dynamic 3 meter tall nude painting, and tubes of paint scattered on the floor.
