Masterpieces of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy Part Two

The focus of the second half will be on works dating to the Song-, Yuan, and Ming Dynasties featuring "The Second Zen Patriarch in Contemplation" attributed to Shi Ke (Important Cultural Property), "Han-shan and Shi-de" By Yintouluo (National Treasure) as well as the same title attributed to Yan Hui (Important Cultural Property), "Landscape" by Li Zai, and "Plants and Creatures" By Xu Wei. In the calligraphy section, historic masterpieces such as the Tang Dynasty "Scroll of Music Notes, Vol.5" (National Treasure), alongside the Northern Song Dynasty scrolls of "Letters" by Mi Fu, the "Manuscript of Epitaphs" by Huang Tingjian, the "Certificate of Buddhist Spiritual Achievement" by Yuanwu Keqin known as Nagare Engo ("Floating Yuanwu", National Treasure), the Southern Song Dynasty Zenin Gakuji (wooden tablets for Zen temples) with calligraphy by Zhang Ji-Zhi (National Treasure) are on display throughout the whole exhibition.
