Takuma Nakahira
A solo photography exhibition of Takuma Nakahira, renowned for his association with the "Provoke" magazine in the late 60s to the early 70s and the "are/bure/boke" (grainy, shakey, blurry) style that tried to eradicate images of any subjectivity and lyricism. Though having suffered from his alcoholism and memory loss in 1977, the artist has since returned to his art and has been actively showing his work. This exhibition will present 20 new photographs, which stand to be a self-criticism of his own essays in "Why An Illustrated Botanical Dictionary?" from 1973, in which he had rebuked his earlier works.
