Chinese Paintings, Featuring the "Three Friends of Winter"

An exhibition of paintings with auspicious motifs, featuring pine trees, bamboo, and plum. Pine and Bamboo were treasured for being evergreens, and the Plum was adored as the first to flower among all plants. The three trees were named the "Three Friends of Winter" by the Chinese people. Paintings featuring Peaches, signifying longevity, and Figs, representing fertility, will also be on display.
