Makoto Wada seems to be involved in mostly film concerned works such as direction, design of numerous books on film and a series of posters of Nikkatsu Meigaza, a famous movie theater for long periods, however, he has designed more posters relating to the stage than those of films.
'ON STAGE' shows his 40 posters of play , concert, Bunraku and Rakugo chosen from plenty of his works.
At the same time 'STAGE TO SCREEN' takes place in HB Gallery (4-5-4 Jingumae, Shibuya 03-5474-2325, Friday 29 October-Wednesday 10 November)
which shows his paintings of a shot in the screen based on the stage.
