Atsuhiko Misawa "Animals 05"

Nishimura Gallery
Finished
This is Atsuhiko Misawa's fourth exhibition at Nishimura Gallery. In his first exhibition in 2000, he presented life-size sculptures of animals, such as a zebra and a dog, carved out of camphor wood and painted to give an appearance of human beings. This exhibition returns to many of the animals from his first show, and features an elephant, a monkey, a bullgod and a frog among the 10 wooden pieces, as well as a number of drawings.
