The Miyake Issey Foundation will present an exhibition of photography by the French photographer, Daniel Jouanneau, entitled “Photographs by Daniel Jouanneau: A Moment in Alsace”, beginning on February 17th, 2005.
The series captures two men whom Jouanneau met while exploring his surroundings between shots. In one, a man works on a basket, while the other takes it into town and exchanges it for bread. The photos capture the unassuming, daily lives of these two men, free to do as they wished, and convey a warmth between photographer and subjects.
