Izumi Kato "Authentic Man"

Artists

Izumi Kato
This is Izumi Kato's first major solo exhibition. He depicts "life forms", which manifest a strong impression of what could only be described as "being itself".
"I want to be on equal terms with my work, and yet be challenged by it." "The optimal situation is one wherein the work and my soul are at equilibrium." This insistence upon equal basis results from the artist's sincerity towards being. He contends that today's mode of thought strips being bare into abstract form. Kato strives for the object's autonomy in hopes to prevent this loss, and instead present voiceless authentic being "as is" in his work.
Kato is also currently featured in a group exhibition held in New York. He is a rare and unique talent, not to be missed on this occasion.
