"Mystery of Beauty" is a unique, intercultural collaboration project in the field of industrial design between a notable German art and design academy, the Burg Giebichenstein Academy of Art & Design, Halle, Germany and the important Japanese corporation, Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.
The German industrial design students explored the "mystery of beauty" in collaboration with Matsushita, approaching the subject of human beauty from different aspects. From their individual, unique perspective, they developed design solutions and concepts that enhance beauty in different ways. This was possible through the collaboration with Matsushita, whose wide range of products - reaching from beautycare and home appliance to interior design and lighting - is connected to human beauty in many different ways.
The students presented their eleven unique design solutions to the Japanese corporation, which in turn presents these concepts to the public in the "Mystery of Beauty" exhibition.
