A group of German students from the "Burg Giebichenstein" University of Art & Design in Halle are searching for the "Mystery of Beauty". During the Tokyo Designers Week, they will present you a new approach to achieving instant beauty. Following their slogan "Beauty for free!!", they will provide various, unusual ways to improve your beauty instantly and free of charge.
The background of the project is an intercultural collaboration between their university and Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd. One outcome of this collaboration has been the redefining of "beauty" as a notion dependent on the specific cultural background and inner values of the people concerned.
This interactive project aims to highlight the cultural differences with regards to the perception of beauty; how people react, interact and understand beauty. What is the mystery of beauty for you? And what would you do, in order to achieve beauty?
The locations where the German “Beauty Competence Team” will appear are available on their website.
