The exhibition "Evening Poetry" will be held to commemorate the publication of Antje Gummels' print series "Nocturne". Matched to the poem by Shuzo Takigawa under the same title, "Nocturne" is composed of eight silkscreen prints. Born in Regensburg, Germany, Gummels is a multi-talented artist who now resides in Niigata, Japan.
The artist will also release a sumi-e series, marking the culmination of her distinct "Antje Sumi-e" style, dating back to 1992. Her unique sensibility provides a gust of fresh air into the world of Japanese sumi-e painting.
