Taguchi Fine Art
Finished

Artists

Yoshinobu Nakagawa
Born in Osaka in 1964, Yoshinobu Nakagawa now resides in Shiga prefecture. Ever since his first solo show in 1987, the same year he graduated from the Osaka University of Art, Nakagawa's motif has been consistently related to plants or the relationship between plants (nature) and mankind (farmer), or agriculture and cultivation, all fundamental activities. His skills, as much in material selection than in poetic emotions, are well worth a visit.
After a hiatus of three years, it is his first show at Taguchi Fine Art. The works on view are his most recent works, relief work "point to sit" made of various materials such as cloth, reclaimed paper and cowhide, and a bronze cast work entitled "Stalk".
