This exhibition presents the textile works by students from 26 schools throughout Japan. The "Chance of Textiles" exhibition series has examined the recycle of textiles since 2000 and has been hosted by venues including the AXIS Gallery and the Tokyo Big Site. This particular show re-displays the works from the "2004: Chance of Textiles."
The process of re-designing common textiles varies greatly from one creator to the other. One may focus on a thread while the other experiments with the material and another adapts the textiles to sculptures and installations.
