In celebration of the 130th anniversary of the birth of "Medama (eyeball)" Matsunosuke, this exhibition will show precious materials about the "first" Japanese movie star. He conquered the Japanese film industry in its nascent years during the 1910s and 1920s by starring in a total of over 1,000 films. In addition, the exhibition will also showcase a few of the post-Onoe era stars.
