Chikako Ikeguchi
Seventy works by Chikako Ikeguchi, the Grand Prix Winner of The 27th Seiji Togo Memorial Sompo Japan Museum of Art.
Ikeguchi was born in 1943 in Dalien. She grew up in Tokyo, and studied oil painting at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Her still lifes featuring flowers and landscape paintings of small towns in North America have won numerous awards. Lately, she paints to the theme of modern women, with an urban feeling, such as the prize-winning work of this contest, "Wine-colored Sweater".
