This exhibition features numerous works that depict extraordinary encounters between humans and animals. There are clearly no boundaries between the two creatures in any of these works. The works are part of an ongoing art project by Gregory Colbert. Since opening in 2002 in Venice, the exhibition has been seen by over 1 million viewers. Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills will hold Colbert's "Animal Totems" exhibition ahead of its opening in the Nomadic Museum in Odaiba. Animal Totems will feature a selection of 15 large photographs taken from "Ashes and Snow", as well as 2 short films, "Haiku".

I felt something accidental and even awesome when I saw his photos there. But after I watched his films, I felt all his works seemed so contrived.
