New York-based Katsuhiro Saiki has explored and created new possibilities of photography, regarding photographs not as a medium to record things, but as a material that crosses the borders of art expression. The simple world he creates through monochrome works with geometric designs and reconstructed landscape photographs evoke fresh surprise as a photographic approach to minimal sculpture. This exhibition will display new works that venture into a new field for Saiki, capturing scenes of living beings. Small sculptures using photographs as material will also be on display.
