All of the national universities in Japan have an abundance of reference materials from various fields. These rare materials are used for academic research, and are not very well known amongst the public. For this exhibition, more than 20 universities selected one work that they feel expresses their individuality the most.

今展は、全国の大学／機関が研究や教育のためにこれまで収集してきた資料を一堂に集め一般に公開することで、文化資源としてのあらたな価値を見いだそうという試みである。今回は全国の国立大学博物館等協議会に加盟する37機関のうち25機関が参加した。
