"Super Escher" Exhibition

Bunkamura Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

M.C. Escher
By tricking us with his trompe l'œil pictures, the Dutch artist M.C. Escher invites us into a strange universe. The works displayed here are on loan from the Municipal Museum in The Hague and range from his earliest pictures, inspired by the landscape of Italy and the mosaics of the Alhambra in Spain, to his hallmark prints of impossible realities.
By showing the original sketches and paintings from which they originated, this exhibition enables visitors to explore Escher 's artistic world in depth.
