Renewal Opening Symposium

NTT ICC Inter Communication Center
Finished
In this age in which the internet has permeated our lives, and is speeding towards a network society based on mobile phones and broadband network connections, perhaps it is the opening up of forms of communication which transcend differing fields which is the driving force behind creativity.
Networking offers human beings the chance to share knowledge and wisdom without the restrictions of time and space. It affirms the diversity of human values and is a way for people with different viewpoints to coexist.
At the new ICC's opening symposium "The Culture and Creation of Network Society", under the ICC's new concept keyword "Open!", the themes "creation", "network" and "society" will be the subjects of discussion.
People from various fields, such as artists, designers, programmers, IT entrepreneurs, scientists and critics have been invited to discuss the new possibilities of art and culture, science and technology in our society.
There will also be discussion of the new "Art x Communication = Open!" concept behind this series of events and what the ICC's aims from hereon should be.

The talks are taking place on Sat 10th June, 17th, 24th, and Sat 1st July at the ICC Gallery A (Live events are taking place on the 4th Floor Special Hall).
Up to 400 people can attend (first come, first served on the day).
Talks will be held in Japanese. Simultaneous interpretation into Japanese will be provided for talks given by non-Japanese guest speakers.
