Fun with Collection 2006

National Museum Of Western Art, Tokyo
Finished
This exhibition, which takes "glasses" as its theme, began in 2005 after two years of planning. During Part 1, which was entitled "The variety of glasses: tell us about your way of looking at them" a number of programmes were held to encourage people to consider the various ways of seeing and understanding glasses, and the museum received a lot of feedback from the public. Part 2 is entitled "The variety of glasses: introducing people's way of looking at them" and uses the feedback gathered from the prior part of the show for the exhibition. These results will be put on display in the permanent exhibition hall on the 2nd floor of the museum's new building from 4th July to the 3rd September, in the form of video works and photographs, haiku, and others.
