Eikoh Hosoe
Eikoh Hosoe, a photographer who searches for the essence of storytelling in his work, was born in Yonezawa City in Yamagata Prefecture in 1933 and was brought up in Tokyo. Since he was inspired by his father to start taking photos when he was fifteen, he has been photographing since both before and after the Second World War.

This exhibition will present a retrospective of many of his representative works, as well as some photographic childrens' books that have never been exhibited in a solo show of his before.
