This is an exhibition to the theme of Takehisa Yumeji, and flowers and plants. According to an interview in 'Osaka Mainichi Shinbun' that was published in August of 1913, Yumeji's favorite flower and tree were the evening primrose and poplar. Many of Yumeji's works feature beautiful flowers, especially ones that can be seen regularly in Japan. Yumeji left behind many poems and essays about flora and fauna as well - keen observational skills and an abundant knowledge can be seen through all of his works.
