Yomiuri Shimbun calls Kazuna Taguchi's style of taking photographs of monochrome oil paintings, 'alchemy of paintings and photography'. Bijutsu Techo says that the arising sense of uneasiness draws people to stand in front of her works, calling them to stay in that discomfort without dismissing it as something that can be understood easily.
The theme for this exhibition is "faces of women". Taguchi uses portraits of five women to express her theme in a vivid and powerful manner.
