Hitoshi Tsutsumino
Hitoshi Tsutsumino passed away last year. During his life, he was busy with various architectural and design projects, and giving form to ideal spaces for people to live and work in. He left behind a vast quantity of materials. This exhibition commemorates the first anniversary of his death by presenting 50 photographic works which he himself chose out of the 20,000 photographs he took in 25 countries over a twenty year period.
Tsutsumino decided on the title "Quality without a name" while he was still alive, as it expressed his view of "essential quality which transcends language, which cannot be expressed in words".
