Animation Special - The Power of the New Century : 24 films in three sections, including 'Tokyo Loop', a remake of J.S.Blackton's 'Humorous Phases of Funny Faces', and "Masters of Abstract", a documentary on the abstract film masters from England and the US.
Overseas Invitational Category : Films of contemporary dance, including 'Amelia' and 'Pina Bausch's Sigh'.

Dプロ「擬似身体」を見に行った。8ミリで撮られたという万城目純の作品は、美しい/醜いの境界をぎりぎりのところで行き来していた。
和田淳、林勇気のアニメーション作品は、完成度こそ高いものの、何を表現したかったのか疑問が残る。
白川幸司の映画は、逆に押しつけがましい演出がマイナスポイント。
ボクデスのビデオパフォーマンスは、会場で大いにウケていた。映像をトリッキーに使いながら、身体・道具を操る様は、正に「擬似身体」というプログラムテーマにぴったり。
