Shaun Gladwell et al.
As part of the "2006 Year of Exchange between Australia and Japan", Tokyo Wonder Site Shibuya is introducing Australian contemporary art both from a visual and musical perspective. As part of a launch project to celebrate the opening of the Tokyo Wonder Site Aoyama creators-in-residence system in November 2007, Australian visual and musical artists will reside at TWS Aoyama to produce work. The work will be shown at TWS Shibuya, and an ensemble academy of contemporary music will be held at TWS Aoyama. Up-and-coming artist Shaun Gladwell will also produce new works while in residence. This exhibition will feature works that express new perspectives on Tokyo that the artists-in-residence discover while in the city, while introducing contemporary Australian art.
