The Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB), which takes place every year in the Slovakian capital, is the world's biggest exhibition of picture book illustrations, bringing together veteran illustrators from all over the world and showcasing their individual expression.

Part one of this exhibition is presenting the 46 prize-winning works from BIB 2005, and part two will show 56 works by new Japanese artists, introducing viewers to a variety of works from 43 countries. In addition there will be a third part to this exhibition which will show approximately 70 children's books printed in Czechoslovakia during the 1920s and 1930s - the first exhibition of its kind in Japan.
