Exhibition of Newly Acquired Works 2

Hiratsuka Museum of Art
Finished
Following on from the Exhibition of Newly Acquired Works 1 in April 2006, this second installment introduces works acquired in 2004 and 2005, with a particular focus on Japanese painters such as Takashi Asada, Keigetsu Matsubayashi, Shuki Okamoto, Norihiko Saito and others who could not be featured last time. In particular, paintings with the theme of Winter and Spring were chosen from Takashi Asada's 34 works donated from local collectors. Keigetsu Matsubayashi's work is said to have been painted when he stayed at a donator's house in Atsugi. Other paintings featured include Shuki Okamoto's traditional Japanese paintings featuring flowers and birds, and the works of Norihiko Saito who is currently active as an artist.
