"the Ginza. and Women: Through the eyes of women" Exhibition

Shiseido Gallery
Finished
By focusing on women who lived and supported this community, this exhibition explores the allure of Ginza, where the company Shiseido was born and nurtured.
The gallery is displaying photographs taken by over sixty women who work in Ginza; who have taken a close look at their beloved town, capturing their work places and their favorite spots.
The Gallery will also coordinate four photography workshops for mothers and children with professional photographers such as Koichi Inakoshi. Instructors will take the mothers and their children on a stroll through the streets of Ginza to take photographs. The photographs will then be printed and exhibited in the gallery.
"Through the eyes of women" is a part of the "The Ginza. and Women" exhibition, a joint show with House of Shiseido. From September 15th to November 5th, House of Shiseido will hold an exhibition of new works by the photographer Koichi Inakoshi, which portrays women living in Ginza. This exhibition will also be accompanied by another, which explores the history of Ginza and the changing representations of women through literature and images.
