Masafumi Sanai "Odysseia"
This event has ended.
At Nichido Contemporary Art
Media: Photography
On display will be Masafumi Sanai's new works, including thirty pictures taken after his previous solo exhibition in July 2003.
The title of this exhibition is "Odysseia," after the Greek epic written by the legendary poet Homer in the 8th Century, B.C., which depicts King Odysseus' long soul-searching voyage.
We, ourselves, often look back on our memories; memories that liberate or enslave us, within which we struggle to find a "picture" of ourselves. Sanai's poetic and transparent sceneries invite us to "Odysseia", our own soul-searching voyage, beyond a frame.
