Digital Art Festival Tokyo 2006

Tokyo Wonder Site Shibuya
Finished
The centerpiece of the festival is Digital Stadium, known as Digista, the NHK television program that introduces works by young creators and nurtures new talent. Digista has been on air for 7 years, and once again Digista has brought together a wide range of works in the Interactive/Installation and visual categories. The festival presents the Digista Best Selection works that made it through the fierce competition this year.

In addition, DAF Tokyo Selection presents works by internationally acclaimed artists from Japan and abroad, and features "Sound Art" works that interplay audio with light and "Device Art" works that defy traditional art-related categories and unify content, tools and technology. The festival also features performances, talk sessions and an art market with the participating artists.

This year, Tokyo's new international arts platform "Tokyo Wonder Site" has joined as an additional venue, resulting in even more chances to encounter the charms of digital art. Digital Art Festival Tokyo is an event where you can go beyond just looking at works to actually touch and experience them. Everyone is welcome, from children to adults. Don't miss the latest digital art in cool Japan. The world is watching.
