Artists

Domoto Yumi, Akatsuka Yuji, Nanbata Tatsuoki, Lee Ufan et al.
With the birth of abstract painting in the first half of the 20th century the meaning of a painting as something recreating the real world, got lost. A painting could now exist as an independent entity. This unfolded a world of free creation for the artist and at the same time raised the never ending issue of how a painting can express a reality. This exhibition displays works from the gallery's collection, by artists who paint things not discernable with an everyday eye.
