Ayumi Ohashi
The 23rd exhibition of the Time Tunnel Series takes a look at the works of illustrator Ayumi Ohashi.
Ohashi's career started with the illustrations she did for "Men's Club" while a student at Tama Museum of Arts, which led to a position as the person in charge of cover illustrations for "Heibon Punch" in 1964. Her covers continued to lead hip-hop culture for seven years, totalling over 390 issues. Later on, Ohashi worked in the advertising, fashion, furniture, and publishing fields as a illustrator and she wrote over 100 essays and books. Since 2002, she has published her own magazine, "Arne", personally working on everything from planning, interviewing, and publishing.
This exhibition follows her illustrious career, starting with works from her college days to the birth of "Arne".
