Of the four exhibitions of Takeshi Kainuma on show this year, "Alpha & Omega" is perhaps the most striking. The photographs on display depict weeds, which normally do not catch most people's attention but in his "Bush" series of weeds photographed in black and white, the artist is trying to capture a sense of "life" and "light".
The latter part of the exhibition interweaves works from the "Winter" series, which depicts a "white despair" felt by the artist in places which have no fixed sense of location to them.
