The exhibition will provide an insight into both German design history and contemporary design, introducing objects such as original tubular steel frame furniture from the Bauhaus, organic and functional products of the 1950s, modular plastic objects from the '60s, contemporary German design and communication design. This exhibition will include a wide range of original design products made over the past eighty years, which have hardly ever been shown before in this form and state of preservation. By combining works from private collections with the archives of numerous German companies, the exhibition Design Deutschland presents a continuing success story of German product and communication design.
