Artists

Hiroko Inoue
Hiroko Inoue studied fabrics in Okinawa from 1974 to 1975. After seeing the devastating aftermath of Hanshin-Awaji Earthquakes, she started incorporating the concept of life and death into her works, leading to such pieces as "Contemporary Art Outdoors" and "A Memory of Soul".
In 2005, Inoue spent a year in Vienna as a cultural ambassador for the Agency of Cultural Affairs. During that period, she held six exhibitions as well as numerous workshops and lectures to introduce Japanese culture. This exhibition is an overview of those activities. Contemporary Austrian art that she collected will also be exhibited.
There will be an art talk by Inoue, and art director Fram Kitagawa.
