"Ogai Mori and Art" Exhibition

Shizuoka Prefectural Museum of Art
Finished

Artists

Ogai Mori
Ogai Mori is known as a literary master and that he wrote novels while being a military doctor, but it is not so well known that he was deeply involved with the art of the late 19th Century and early 20th Century. By writing about art and looking at exhibitions, he created platforms for artistic activity and gave his support to artists; one could even call him an art producer. This exhibition investigates his relationship with the artists of the period.
