We cannot ignore the existence of digital paintings as a new form of painting that appeared at the beginning of 21st century. Its representation, so called “Digi-E" (meaning "digital painting in Japanese) in the Otaku-world, varies from artist to artist; every artist has their own skills and aesthetics. "Enlightenment", led by Hiro Sugiyama is a rare showcase of digital painting in the world of fine art.
