Florian Claar's 5th solo exhibition with Roentgenwerke features an artificial city without buildings that is lit by tiny streetlamps. The title 'Solaris - second chamber' is from the science fiction novel 'Solaris' by Stanislaw Lem.
Florian Claar (born 1968 in Stuttgart, Germany) studied Fine Art, Sculpture and Stage Design at the National Art University Stuttgart and came to Japan as a researcher for Musashino University of Art. Claar, who works from his studio in Kanagawa, is known for his geometrical sculptures related to music, science and mathematics.
